Chris Ivory Finally Practices

Chris Ivory finally took the field with the Jets yesterday in practice. He
participated in some drills and finally got some team reps with no tightness in his
hamstring afterwards. This is encouraging for the Jets considering they only have
Bilal Powell and Kahlil Bell on the roster with goodson still out with legal issues
and Mcknight with a rash of injuries. Coach Rex Ryan hopes to see Ivory Saturday
against the Jaguars, “I hope he does play Saturday” Ryan said. “He’s a big powerful
man. I think every Jet fan is looking forward to seeing him run.”
Ivory took the first two handoffs in team
drills and coaches said he looked great. Rex
again liked what he saw. “He looked
excellent,” he said of Ivory. “I mean, that’s a
big, powerful man. That’s the guy we’ve
been waiting for. I think every Jets fan has
been looking forward to seeing this guy
run, and today we got to see it some. I was
encouraged to say the least.”
Hopefully Ivory can take the field Saturday
which will add a different dimension to
their running game considering he is a one
cut back. It also adds depth and takes some
of the load of Bilal Powell.
