Jets Rookies to Watch vs. Detroit

The New York Jets play the Detroit Lions tomorrow as their first preseason game
kicks off. Preseason is the time to evaluate rookies and who will make the final 53-
man roster.
Sheldon Richardson:  who is getting the start at DT. The 13
praised for his athleticism and explosiveness by Ryan. He gets to work alongside
Muhammad Wilkerson, Quinton Coples, Kenrick Ellis, and Antonio Garay. Lets see
how he does against the Lions weak offensive line.
Dee Millner who is getting the start opposite Antonio Cromartie. He beat out Kyle
Wilson who will now move back to the nickel spot. Millner is going to be the number
two corner so we won’t get to see him against megatron. He might not get a lot of
reps in simply because he was limited at practice with tightness in his calf.
Geno Smith will be the rookie everyone has their eyes on. He wont be the starter
but he will get a chance to work with the first team offense and should play for
atleast a quarter Friday night. He will display his arm strength and his knowledge of
the playbook and defenses, as he will likely go up against the starters for the Lions
also. We will see how he reacts to the Lions aggressive front four and if he can get
the ball out quickly and accurately to his playmakers.
